We've improved our customer support
We've invested
heavily in customer help & support over the past year, doubling
our support team and opening a new office building, built to our specifications.
We've changed the way in which we offer support so you'll always be
given the name of the person you're dealing with, and in most cases
their personal email address too. Our average email reply time is
around 27 minutes (we're constantly striving to better this) and on
the bottom of every email you receive from our team, you'll find a
link enabling you to instantly rate the help they've given you.
- We've
launched a new Webmail service
Our new webmail service, at http://webmail.supanames.com,
offers functionality previously only found in full email software.
Features include spell checker, address book, editable user profile,
HTML or plain text email, message search, full attachment support,
email templates, help section, automatic inbox checking, audible alert
on new mail and more besides. There's a choice of two interfaces so
you can always be sure that you'll be able to access the service from
any PC or Mac connected to the internet.
- We've
increased our internet connection sizes
To ensure that we're able to offer the best website performance we've
secured updated contracts with our network partners to increase our
network capacity by a factor of ten, to our highest ever level.
- We've
improved access to our service status
We've added live server status to the status page in SiteControl,
so if our automatic monitoring system detects that a server has been
unavailable for 5 minutes or more, you're instantly informed and can
be assured that our engineers are on the case. In addition, we've
added an automated service status telephone line at 0870 162 49 39
so you can check our service status whilst you're out & about.
- We're
now making free triple daily backups, plus monthly offsite backups*
We doing more than our competitors to keep your data safe. We now
have just under 7 Terabytes of backup capacity spread across a newly
designed backup system. We make daily backups of your content, configuration
and databases to three different storage areas. Approximately once
a month we make a full offsite backup to a secure UK location, away
from our London data facility.

We've introduced self healing server technology
We've developed self healing server software to improve service uptime.
Our software conducts a full server health check every minute, and
can instantly resolve a number of common issues that might crop up.
In addition, we're also developing a process that enables us to fully
replace failed hardware remotely and within minutes. Early live tests
of this system show much faster resolution times than manually conducting
the work.
- New
MyPANEL and new features, for free. (more)
We're upgrading all new & existing Linux packages with a new MyPANEL
control panel, bringing with it over 55 new features, improvements
and enhancements. Features include SMS email alerts, basic sitebuilder,
online file manager, MySQL backup tool, multiple recipient addresses,
email filters, PHP customisation, full support for mapped domains,
fully customisable control panel, scheduled tasks (where applicable)
and a lot more. We'll be contacting you again prior to upgrading MyPANEL on your server, but in the meantime click here to read

- We're
upgrading webspace on all existing & new packages, for free.
We're boosting your webspace so that you can store more photos, content
and data. Our Value Host package is rising from 35mb to 50mb &
the Value Host PRO package from 100mb to 250mb. Our Mid Host and Windows
Start packages are shooting up to 1.5GB (from 0.5GB) & on our
Premier Host & Windows Venture packages you'll now find a whopping
2.5GB (up from 1GB).
- We're
expanding our development team to bring you more, faster.
We're adding to our development team to ensure that we can bring you
upgrades, enhancements and improvements like the ones listed here
as quickly as possible.

for our Windows hosting users:
If you're currently on a Windows package you've got a version of MyPANEL
between our current Linux version and the new, updated version. Don't
worry though - we'll be updating MyPANEL Windows Edition very soon.

- Improved
help section
It's
time our online help section had an overhaul, and we're busy creating
some brand new content including extensive documentation & video
tutorials to bring another dimension to our online support.
- Free
anti virus & anti spam on all packages
Spam and viruses are becoming an increasingly
inconvenient menace so we've decided to provide free anti virus &
anti spam on all new & existing packages. We're busy working on
central servers that'll check for new virus definitions every 5 minutes,
and conduct 10 different spam checks on each email.
- New
website & SiteControl interface
We're bringing our website & SiteControl bang
up to date with a major redesign. In recent years we've expanded our
range of services massively, so we're focusing on incorporating everything
into a new cleaner design & making navigation easier for you.
- Uptime
guarantees on all packages
We'll be introducing clear uptime guarantees
across all new and existing hosting packages, to provide you with
piece of mind that your website will work when you need it to. Terms
will apply, naturally.
- Money
back guarantees on all new packages
We're adding a "fault finder" guarantee
to all new hosting packages purchased through our website. If you
find a fault that we're not able to resolve within the first 30 days
we'll refund your entire hosting fee. As with any such agreement,
terms and conditions will apply.
- Several
exciting new services
We've got six exciting & useful new services
in development at the moment. Whilst we can't reveal everything here
we can say that they cover everything from web design to blogging.

As with any new technology we're not able to guarantee the quality of
our data backups. Backups are made for the purposes of disaster recovery
for internal SupaNames use only, however we'll always try our best to
recover your data if you accidentally delete it.
